Milestone Moment: 37 founders complete the first cohort of Incubator Plus 2025

Two women seated and engaged in a focused conversation during the Incubator Plus Programme intro session. One woman, wearing a black jacket, gestures expressively while speaking. The other woman, dressed in a mustard yellow top and black headscarf, listens attentively. Other people are visible in the background, also in discussion.

At Business Launchpad, we believe in more than just big ideas. We believe in the people behind them.

That belief came to life through our Incubator Plus Programme: a six-month journey that supported young entrepreneurs from across London, empowering them to grow their businesses, build employability skills, and take meaningful steps toward their futures.

From January to June 2025, participants aged 18 to 30 joined us to shape early-stage start-ups, develop career skills, and pitch real-world solutions across industries from e-commerce to AI-driven healthcare. And the impact was clear to see.

Growth That Goes Beyond the Business Plan

This year’s Incubator Plus welcomed young people with vision, helping them transform it into structure, confidence, and clear next steps.

Out of the 44 young people who joined:

  • 55% were based in Lambeth, with the rest coming from boroughs across London

  • Over half (52%) received one-to-one support, combining personalised guidance with group sessions and masterclasses

  • 37 participants completed the programme, and 11 pitched their business ideas during a final showcase event

  • One standout participant received £500 in funding to bring their idea to life

Diverse Ideas. Shared Drive.

Our participants brought a wide range of ideas, united by a shared ambition to make an impact.

Here’s a look at the industries they represented:

A grid of six categories highlighting types of youth-led businesses: 1) 'Retail & E-commerce' – from cookies and skincare to streetwear, product-based businesses were prominent; 2) 'Creative & Cultural Ventures' – selling artwork, designing games, or creating music put creativity front and centre; 3) 'Fashion, Beauty & Lifestyle' – passion-driven ventures in hair styling and personal wellness; 4) 'Health & Wellbeing' – businesses focused on mental health and self-care; 5) 'Service-Based Start-ups' – ideas in recruitment, consultancy, and construction for community uplift; 6) 'Technology & Social Impact' – tech solutions addressing societal issues.

Support That Makes a Difference

The programme included 12 business skills workshops, 12 digital skills sessions, and 3 expert-led masterclasses, all focused on practical, hands-on learning.

Participants also received:

  • Access to co-working space

  • Funding and legal guidance

  • One-to-one coaching and expert mentoring

  • Employability support and networking opportunities

It wasn’t just about starting a business. It was about building a future with the confidence and tools to make it happen.
