We are looking for some new amazing, talented people to join our team!

 

The role of Trustee is critical to supporting the delivery of impact and high quality services that empower clients and amplify their voices. You will be responsible for the effective governance of the charity, ensuring that the Board works collaboratively, using the assets of the organisation to maximise our social impact.
Our board currently consists of 8 trustees with skills in accountancy, legal, strategy, social entrepreneurship and personal wellbeing. We are specifically looking to appoint trustees from our current client base, so we can execute our 2020-2024 strategy focused on meeting client need and helping them overcome barriers to achieving their personal development and enterprise goals.

The board of trustees meet every 6 weeks. These meetings can take place virtually using Zoom or in person at one of our site offices, typically Tooting.


Every year the staff team and trustees meet for a ½ day annual review of our work and a social event.

The role of Chair is a critical role within BLP, providing facilitative leadership of the Board, supporting the delivery of impact and high quality services empowering clients and their voices. The Chair will be responsible for facilitating the Board’s strategic thinking and decision-making, ensuring robust governance, regular horizon scanning and assessment of future risks and opportunities when deploying the assets of the organisation. The Chair will provide support and constructive challenge to the Chief Executive and their senior management team as they work to achieve the ambitious strategic goals as agreed with the Board.
